How to determine bat length?

Bat length is measured in inches from to knob to cap. We recommend swinging bats with different lengths to determine what's right for you. Seek advice from coaches and experienced players to observe your swing to help you choose an appropriate bat length for you.

How to determine bat weight?

Drop weight is measured in ounces and calculated based on bat length in inches. The length of bat minus the bat's weight is the drop weight. Example 34 in. bat at a drop (-2) is 32 oz. In general, high school-aged players swing drop (-3) bats. A 12 or 13-year-old may swing a drop (-5), and younger players may go down to a drop (-8) or (-10).

What is the dimond ink mark?

The ink dot test shows you how straight our grain is. Like most bat makers, we want to show the customer that our wood grain is straight and that it will do a great job for you.

My bat broke. Can I get a replacement or my money back?

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within thirty (30) days from the day you received your bat (purchase/date of receipt). Please review our refund policy.

The colors are not what I expected.

My name is spelled incorrectly on the bat.

If the spelling on the bat doesn't match the name from the order form, I'll make you a new bat.

Are all Razorbill Bats cupped?

We cup the end of the bat to create the most appropriate balance for the customer. If you want a more end-loaded bat, we (you and I) may determine to not cup the bat. Most times, I cup the end of the bat to create the customer's desired weight for their bat.

How long does my order typically take to complete and ship to me?

Bat orders are fulfilled in the order in which they are received. Most orders are fulfilled within a week of the order being finalized.

Can I pick up my bat to save money on shipping?

If you live in central Illinois, you are more than welcome to swing by and pick up your bat in Normal, IL.

Custom design is not what I wanted.

If you have an idea that seems too big for a simple message or too elaborate to fit onto the order form, send me a message on Instagram or an email at razorbillbats@gmail.com.
